popcorn_oracle@yahoo.com BioI've sort of come to find that analyzing the hell out of everything constantly can get a bit old. This being said I haven't quite found the drive to post on this journal much lately. But I still like to think and pick stuff apart, I just think there needs to be some middle ground! This journal is still pretty much just a place of documentation for thoughts on stuff I view/read/whatever.
I'm a fairly casual slash fan, I just enjoy subverting the dominance of compulsive heterosexuality so prevalent in the mainstream. It doesn't help that I disagree with the portrayal of women, as well as the way romance is represented in most things. I can't help but think there's got to be a better reason for getting together than being generally agreeable, attractive and of the opposite sex, you know? Slashing tends to make more sense in that the characters tend to have more meaningful relationships with their friends or other associates, that can blur the lines, but is never explored due to the narrow scope of "normal sexuality."
Anyway, I do still like some crack pairings in things though, there's no fun in being serious all the time after all.
I like video games a lot, mainly Atlus RPGs. Not that great at keeping up on the newest things, due to having no money and not being up to date on systems. Dark, philosophical and strange tends to be my taste in... well, most things, but especially games!
Went to see the TMV back in August, sort of snapped me out of the detached non-living I was doing. I hold myself less to crazy standards and ideals, or at least try to, and really just ultimately do stuff I want to do. I draw when I get the chance, really love music, and always want to do more creative stuff. I've done a lot of things in the last two months I never quite expected of myself, not that it was all my own doing ^^;.
I still have a char on FF11, I play every now and then, I'm Xelos/las/Whoosh on the Garuda server. RDM is unsurprisingly my main.
Also: Random comments and discussions are always welcome! Really. I'm miserably shy like a shy thing, and like minded people are few enough in our day to day lives.
Friending is good too, though it'd be best if I got a comment or something just so I know you're there o_o.
