I am a person with something of a obsessive disposition who gets altogether too enamored with fictional things. So it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that this journal primarily exists to document all that. That is to say... I like to analyze, get in depth, and have an opinion on a great deal of what I watch/read/see/whatever.

I'm mostly asexual, and an attempted-to-be-rational and prolific slash/yaoi fan. I'm a bit of a "pairing snob" or "OTPer" typically, which comes with my obsessiveness, I kinda can't seem to help it @_@.

My main reason for supporting slash pairings more often than the usual thrown-together-canon relationships is due to females being represented terribly in media (it's hard to like them), and conventional romance is even more distasteful. I can't help it if the characters have more meaningful relationships with their best friends or other associates. For me slashing is idealism in a way, I feel like they should be involved with people for more significant reasons than them being physically attractive and marginally agreeable.

Not to say I'm not prone to irrational fangirling too.

I have a fairly extensive background with a love of video games(since I was four) and anime until up about 2007. But I tend to be more of a content/storyline gamer ever since I started playing RPGs, and most newer games don't interest me a lot. So I kind of fail at keeping up on what's current and all that. I also seem to go for the dark and obscure... (In basic terms I /flaillove Persona, and recently SMT more than like any RPG series ever)

(I'm a bit of a British-scifi/general scifi geek as well)

Things I'm currently variably fangirlish about at current are Invader Zim, Blakes 7, Shin Megami Tensei & Persona (2 and 3 especially), and Batman.

My pairs (since I'm a incurable OTPer it seems) for each fandom are:
IZ: Dib/Zim (there's not much else -to- ship in it. I know it's a crack pairing, I don't take it serious, it's just fun)
B7: Vila/Avon. I have other inclinations with het and whatever in that show, but Avon/Vila gets all my attention really.
SMT: none at current ^^; I'm not very far, but I'm like protagonist/Isamu or Futomimi so far
P2: Baofu/Katsuya <3 (I'm still working on Innocent Sin, no opinion on Jun and Tatsuya yet)
P3: Shinjiro/Akihiko (gotta admit that these two are sort of my main focus right now, SO CANON)
P4: Protagonist/Yosuke (I'm like 6 hours in, I haven't even met the cast past Kanji, I'm sure I'll change my pairs as time goes on. What a gleefully gay game though!)
[I recently took SGA out of my fandom profile. I was a big proponent of the McShep pairing until S5, which pretty much leeched all that I loved out of the pairing, the show, and Rodney as a character. I don't know if I can stomach thinking of John being stuck with Rodney anymore, so I actually kind of shifted OTPs and lean towards Ronon/John. Either way, the show is over and I'm about done with it aside...]

-I still play FF11 casually on Garuda, Xelos/Xelas on Garuda, RDM, WHM, BRD, WAR, DRK, Red Mage is my super main, seeing as it's the multitask whore focus job.
-I have various chars on Scryers when I rarely make an appearance on WoW.
-I'm Ilyena on Cerberus in SMT:Imagine til the purge. Also kind of rare though.

Also: Random comments and discussions are always welcome! Really. I'm miserably shy like a shy thing, if we have a common opinion on fandom it's even possible I've been lurking your journal and not saying anything. So yes, have no fear.
Friends are good too, though it'd be best if I got a comment or something just so I know you're there o_o.
